The Afghan Embassy in Sofia is Afghanistan’s official diplomatic mission in the Republic of Bulgaria. The Embassy supports Afghan nationals through consular guidance and citizen assistance where applicable, facilitates official diplomatic coordination, and works to strengthen constructive relations and people-to-people ties.

Our team works diligently to ensure that Afghan citizens in Bulgaria have access to timely, reliable, and transparent consular services.

The Embassy is responsible for:

Issuing and renewing passports

Processing Afghan visas for foreigners

Providing document attestation & legalization

Handling birth, marriage, and death registrations

Offering emergency legal and travel assistance

Supporting refugees and Afghan nationals in need
